The Crime Literature Festival of India welcomes readers, authors, aspiring writers, enthusiasts, literary agents, publishers, crime experts, students, academicians, and anyone interested in the world of crime literature. It aims to create an inclusive and diverse community that appreciates and promotes crime literature in all its forms.

We are hosting the first edition of the Crime Literature Festival of India in Dehradun on 3,4,5 November.

About the Event


The Crime Literature Festival of India is not just an event; it's an odyssey into the intricate, the mysterious, and mesmerizing facets of the literary world. It's an ode to creativity, a symphony of shared knowledge, and a rendezvous with a diverse assembly of authors, readers, enthusiasts, and savants.


A first of its kind in India, this festival aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, interactive sessions, and engaging discussions, while fostering a sense of community among crime literature enthusiasts. It is a congregation of wordsmiths, detectives, and readers who share a common passion for the dark and thrilling narratives of the world's most notorious acts.


Our festival covers a wide spectrum of crime literature, including but not limited to Crime Fiction, True Crime, Crime and Tech, Crime and Film/OTT, Crime in Pop Culture, Investigative Journalism etc. It's a multidimensional tapestry of narratives that will enthral, educate, and entertain.

Event Place


The festival will be held at the Welham Boys' Schools in Dehradun - a city known for its picturesque landscape, captivating views of the Himalayas and intriguing forests - a crime writer’s haven. May we request you to please share your availability for 4th or 5th November. Accordingly, travel and accommodation will be aligned.


Our stellar lineup features an array of accomplished authors writing true crime and fiction, serving and retired Police officers, story and scriptwriters of crime shows and films, forensic specialists, cyber-crime specialists, actors of crime-based serials and films and renowned psychologists. Our participants include - S Hussian Zaidi, Sujoy Ghosh, Neeraj Kumar, Anirban Bhattacharya, Aloke Lal, V N Rai, Ashok Kumar and K Vijay Kumar among others.

This eclectic mix of voices will provide valuable insights, experiences, and perspectives on various aspects of crime literature.
